The Lot Valley Cycling Tour

The Lot Valley Cycling Tour

Explore France, one of the most visited and classic destinations for cycling! With its bountiful history, plenteous chateaux and castles, beautiful countryside and a relaxed way of life. The countryside charms of the Lot-et-Garonne and Lot Valley make it one of the favourite and best places for a cycling trip, whether you are a first-timer or experienced traveller. With these country roads, you won't see too many cars along the way but are sure to see plenty of stunning views, amazing scenery and occasional wildlife going about their business.

At the right time, the bright and cheery yellow of sunflower fields juxtaposing with the pépinières and chateaux beneath the intense blue sky and only the sounds of birds and nature around you is most exhilarating. The generally smooth riding in the Lot has its occasional ascents, with picturesque and interesting rural routes, riding through towns and villages, taking in plenty of sightseeing and stops along the way.

These day tours take us through the fantastic Lot Valley of South West France, with six days cycling covering approximately 325 kilometres and includes seven nights bed and breakfast accommodation with a welcome and farewell dinner.

Caday Rouge is a beautiful stone Manor House with a 19th-century Quercy stone cottage and barn dating back to 1862. These beautiful buildings are set within 2 acres of well-kept tranquil gardens hosting a large heated saltwater swimming pool, nestling peacefully in the serene countryside beside the River Lot.

The saltwater swimming pool is 14 meters long by 6.8 metres wide and 1 meter leading to 2.5 metres deep with a 1 meter high ledge all the way around for safety and comfort.  The pool is heated to a minimum temperature of 25 degrees centigrade between June and September.  The pools' large terraces are equipped with parasols, sun loungers and seating for your comfort, enjoyment and socialising. These are surrounded by beautiful flowers, herbs, palm trees and hedges.

Caday Rouge is situated between the hamlets of Saint-Vite and Saint-Georges, set amongst the fruit farms in semi-rural South-West France.  It is situated in the Lot-et-Garonne Department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, between Quercy, Périgord, the Lot Valley and the Dordogne.
